Even
though the Bimota factory closed, in the last
years tests on the new carburettor-based engine
have been carried on. Bikes have run more than
30.000 km (4000 km on racing track) without
problems. After an auction sale by Tribunal
of Rimini, in January 2003 the factory has been
reopened, and the new 500 Vdue bikes, in assembly
stage before the breakdown, have been finished
and sold.
